Three new trailers for the upcoming Black and White have been aired on the Nintendo channel in Japan. They don't contain much in the way of new information, but they do show plenty of places and routes in all their awesome 3-D glory, plus some battle footage. There is possibly an unknown Pokemon running around in the daycare too, so watch out for that ;)

Filb.de have uploaded the trailers as usual, so Click here and go take a look~

It has also been discovered that when taking part in Double and Triple battles, certain attacks can be combined. Combination attacks will certainly add a new element to battling! Three known examples of these moves are Grass Oath, Fire Oath and Water Oath, known by the respective starters.

Fire Oath and Water Oath for example, combine to create a rainbow in the sky which boosts the likelihood of secondary effects occurring for your team. It will be interesting to see exactly to what extent moves can me combined - like whether they just add effects to battle or can also create awesomely powerful attacks.

In which Ash gets the first major character redesign in years, and something is horribly off about his eyes. Some attacks finally get new animations (Iron Tail, AT LAST, makes Pikachu's tail look metallic rather than just glow), and some attacks are shown in still frames (including what appears to be Shell Blade and Nitro Boost). And Dento's weird cornea-less eyes STILL creep me the desu out.

Oh yes, and it seems the monkey is his, too. Does this mean he's a grass-type gym leader? -_-;

Say hello to Yanappu (ヤナップ), the Grass Monkey Pokémon (くさざるポケモン).

Yes, it's this little guy, revealed in the leak in July alongside Kibago.

It is a Grass-type, 0.6 meters tall and weighs 10.5 kg. It has the Gluttony ability and knows a new attack called  Acrobat (アクロバット). This attack's power doubles when Yanappu does not have a hold item. In Triple Battles, it allows the user to hit those out of its range. It was shown to be Super-effective against Tsutarja, meaning that it is most likely a Flying-type move.

It was also revealed in PokeMon Sunday that a character in Best Wishes is going to have one of these things - perhaps Dento? If the attack he was shown using against a Mijumaru in the recent trailer is indeed Solar Beam like many people assume it is - it is quite possible that he is a trainer of the Grass Type. But then, baseless speculation from me. Could be anything really.

Sign-ups for the UK London Gamerbase tournament have officially begun, and anyone wishing to take part should post their interest in Gamerbase's official page for the tournament:

http://www.gamerbase.com/?a=post&id=74431

All the information on the tournament can be found on that Gamerbase page. All the rules for the tournament are subject to change, but it appears to be a 3 vs 3 - to - 6 vs 6 tournament similar to the PokeCharms tournament held in Manchester last year, as opposed to the 4 vs 4 doubles format used in the Manchester Gamerbase tournament held this year.

For more information, either post here or on Gamerbase's official page given in the link.

Shikijika, the Seasonal Pokemon, can have either the ability Chlorophyll, or a new one, called Herbivore.  Herbivore raises the Attack stat when the Pokemon is hit with a Grass-type attack.

Mamanbō, which is the heart-shaped Water Pokemon revealed a few weeks ago has either the ability Hydration, or Healing Heart, which removes the Status effects of partner Pokemon in battle. It is known as the Nursing Pokemon.

Miruhoggu, the evolution of Minezumi, is a Normal Type Pokemon, classified as the Precaution Pokemon. It has the abilities Illuminate or Keen Eye.

The Swan Pokemon from last week is revealed to be called Swana, and is classified as the Swan Pokemon. It has the abilities Keen Eye or Pigeon Heart.

The Bug Pokemon that was revealed is called Kurumiru. It is a Bug/Grass type, and is classified as the Sewing Pokemon. It has the abilities Swarm or Chlorophyll. It has a new move called Bug Resistance, but as of now, details on the move are hazy. (It is believed to allow Kurumiru to attack two opponents at once, but details are to be confirmed).

Moguryu, the mole-like Pokemon from June is confirmed to be a Ground Type Pokemon. It is classified as the Mole Pokemon, and has the abilities Sand Throw or Sand Power, both of which are new.

There is also details of a new move, called WindStorm, and the accuracy of the move is said to depend on the weather.

Hello hello!

There are some days when I want to make a strip that's deep and meaningful. One that leaves the audience asking questions and pondering philosophical conundrums.

Then there are days like today.

Please enjoy episodes 18 and 19, Round Robin and Like the Dickens.

Cheers!

We held our second mono-tournament today over in the #PokecharmsWFC chatroom - and although it wasn't as large a turnout as the previous one, we all had a lot of fun ^^

Though, at the end of the day, there can only be one winner. And that winner was Red with his Water-type team, congratulations ^^ We had a variety of teams in battle against each other today, and I believe some of the competitors have videos of their battles as well :)

Be sure to keep an eye out for our next Mini Tournament!
