If you'd like to submit your Trainer Card Background for use in the Trainer Card Maker, please make sure that you adhere to these rules:
Please note that submitting sprites for the TCM gives us the right to use that sprite outside the TCM for other site purposes as well. We regret that there is no real way to credit all those who submit sprites, so you should only submit if you are satisfied with these terms.
If you want bases for your sprites, check out the sprites on The Spriter's Resource. Please do not use existing custom sprites/artwork as a base, or outright stealing someone else's sprite/artwork and posting it. Plagarism will not be tolerated.
- Backgrounds shouldn't be too large. They should be capable of fitting safely into an acceptable signature size. (Ideally, no taller than 200 pixels and no wider than about 600).
- There should be space for 6 32x32 Pokemon images on the card. We'd prefer it if you didn't place the boxes on the card yourself.
- There should be space for 8 16x16 badge sprites on the card.
- There should be a set space for a Trainer's name and a Friend Code.
- There should be some space on the card for a credit to Pokecharms.com. Please do not add this credit yourself.

Didn't know what needed to be transparent or whatnot, so I left it white for ya :3
EDIT: did the background.

I gave it a go. I like the results.
I'll make more with this style, but I also might make a bigger design.

EDIT: If you like my ultra mini card, I'll make the rest of the elements. ^_^

EDIT: One again, if you like, I'll make more.

Bumping this. As you may already have gathered from the latest news, the TCM 3.0 is finally almost here, and if you want your Trainer Card design to be in it, you need to submit it now. The next update probably won't be for a while, so make sure you get your design in before the launch to see it in use.

The purple smoke one, I can't decide if it should be ghost or poison. And I don't know what I should do for the other one.
The only one that I don't think is really self-explanatory is the leather one. That one is supposed to be fighting type.

If you want some backgrounds, I have several I have been using to make cards for tournaments. They don't have a friend code due to most people entering my tourneys not being able to access Nintendo Wi-Fi due to internet settings, but I am sure that can be added. You request that we don't put the boxes in so I will leave the backgrounds blank with a few examples of cards I have made before.
These are all backgrounds designed by me so you don't need to worry about copyright ect. The template is based originally on your previous trainer card design.
Here are a few examples of previous cards I have made.

I hope you like them, here are the backgrounds.
Blue
Bug Goo
Dark Explosion
Evil
Electro
Horizon
Ice
Inferno

Nebula (The beautiful accident! I was adding clouds to the horizon background)

Normal

Poison

Psy Explosion

Sky

Steel (Different Shades, can not decide which I like best)

Water

Wood

I can modify these if you wish.

I don't normally respond to posts here, 'cos it just clutters things up. But, I can say that, pretty as those cards are, the complex backgrounds will probably mean a lot won't work that well in the TCM. Because the module we use for image manipulation only renders transparency on 8-bit PNGs, the amount of colour we can use in each image is limited to 255 colours (+1 for transparency). Complex backgrounds with a lot of shades of the same colour are especially cumbersome, as the pallet for the image then gets filled up with all those individual colours and there isn't enough left for the Pokemon or trainers' colours - making them look washed out.
There are already cards on the system where this is a problem, but I'd like to avoid adding that many more. For that reason alone, most of your cards are probably not going to make it in.
It'd be wise to keep this in mind for anyone creating new cards too. It's just a limitation of the system that can't really be avoided.

Thanks for that note. I will see if I can fit some of these backgrounds to those criteria if I get time when I get back.
My Trainer Card Backgrounds:

You have this one on the Icon "General" when we are going to choose the TC background, but it can't be chosen, and there is any other card background that looks alike....

Example:

I went back and changed all of my cards to be 32 colors and below with the exception of a few being 64 colors. The only one I couldn't easily save is the rainbow butterfly card.
I also made a poison mini-card.
128 colors. It didn't look right with less.

I hope you take my cards into consideration

Awww, man. I was hoping the backgrounds I submitted earlier this year would be here, but my account expired when the website returned. And now I can't find the backgrounds anymore. So, I made some new backgrounds today.

Oh, the font I used is by spaceemotion on dA.

Satoren, LDEJRuff, NekoshiSyney, Knight Mair, and [X5-452] those are REALLY good ones!

Pokemon is part of my childhood, and will never die.

Before posting some cards of mine I just wanted to point out that the second card on the third row in the General should be moved to the Video Games corner as it is an Elite Beat Agents inspired card.
...and out of curiosity, how come in the Card Template area it is written as Video Games while in the Trainer Sprites area it is written as Videogames?
Chrono Trigger card

Etrian Odyssey card

The World Ends With You card

I did make a Mega Man 2 card on the old forums, but it was submitted shortly before it died, so I don't know if anyone has/saw it. I'm just going to assume you do have access to it and can find it, otherwise I can probably find it on one of the external hard drives and resubmit it if you like.

Here's a background for the Trainer Card Maker. (see attachment) I recommend placing the Pokemon on the left side and the Trainer on the right side.
