This post will be updated with any questions the staff get regarding any aspect of the relaunch. It can also be used as a thread for any issues you find with the new layout - things not working as expected, etcetera. To start with, two questions that I had:
Forums
Q: My signature isn't showing up on new posts!
Signatures are no longer an all or nothing scenario; you may enable or disable your signature per post, using the checkboxes underneath the post area. For me (Teapot), my signature was disabled by default, so I would have to tick the box each time. If you want to show your signature by default, do the following:
> Go to the User control Panel, on the right hand side of the forums
> Click Board Preferences, at the top
> Click "Edit Posting Defaults"
> Tick "Attach my signature by default"
> Click "Submit"
Q: I posted in a topic, and now I'm being e-mailed every time someone replies!
If this is the case, your "Notify me upon replies by default" setting is turned on. As with the signatures, it's controlled on a per post basis - if you want it to default to off, do the following:
> Go to the User control Panel, on the right hand side of the forums
> Click "Edit Posting Defaults"
> Tick "Notify me upon replies by default"
> Click "Submit"
To unsubscribe from any existing notifications:
> Go to the User control Panel, on the right hand side of the forums
> Click Board Preferences, at the top
> Click "Manage Subscriptions"
> Check all the topics you want to remove from subscriptions
> Click "Unwatch marked"
Q: When I try to log in, it says my username doesn't exist.
We changed the forum software, and there are some compatibility differences between them. To make sure the transfer of your data worked fine, the system uses the last display name you had on the old forums as your user name. Sign in using that.
If you can't access your e-mail or have other password-related problems, speak to Teapot in chat to get your password changed manually.
Q: I can't stay signed in
This is a cookie issue. To address it:
> Make sure you are logged out on both the forums and the main page.
> Clear all Pokecharms cookies (for best results, if this doesn't work, clear all cookies).
> Sign back in.
Q: The time's wrong on the forum, or, it's not displayed how I like it
This one's a matter of taste, and again, can be edited in your profile.
> Go to the User control Panel, on the right hand side of the forums
> Click Board Preferences, at the top
> To change the time, set your timezone to where you are, and check the DST/Summer Time box if it is summer time.
> To change how the date is displayed, use the "My date format" box. Incidentally, if you want to change the dates to show relative time on posts (ie: "26 minutes ago", or similar), choose one of the latter two options, starting with "Less than a minute ago". I'd recommend this, it makes it a lot easier to see when people posted.

Two issues I've found, both minor but even so.
The clock underneath my avatar on the right doesn't seem to change to what I've set the forum time to be. This post will come up at like 1:07pm to me, but apparently its 7:07am
And the second is a permissions thing, but for some reason I can only read, not post in, the wiki board.
On a feedback note, I think there should be a refresh button for the captcha when you fail to login. For some reason, Charms likes to randomly chuck me out and not take my password even when I KNOW its correctly put in - and that captcha thingy you've got in this new forum is HELL, with no refresh too. Mucho awkwardo ;-; /rant

My clock thingie is also wrong. I set my local time to Atlantic (-4) in my profile, and it's coming up as 7:21 AM. Even with the daylight saving option clicked it shouldn't be two hours off. Obviously the forums don't tell time the same way the rest of the world does... :x

As far as I can tell, changing the time in your forum profile does affect the time on posts and other items within the forums, but not on the sidebar.

Testing it now for me, and that would make sense...
Edit: Yup, forum times are fine for me. It's just the sidebar.

Mmm. I am having trouble with the topic order. For some reason, I cannot get it to go in the past order, with the most recently replied-to topic first.

This is also a personal setting. Make sure the at the bottom of the topic you have posts set to display 'Ascending' and check that in your user preferences you've set the same.
My irk is that spiler tags no longer work in signatures - you can see my big "Credits" spiel down there surrounded in spoiler tags but not spoiler'd. Is there a way to get those back?

(deviantArt :: Global Pokédex Plus :: My writings)

Artist, audiophile, tinkerer, coder, anonymous, hobbyist, commentator, analytical, serious, opinionated - that's me.

Remove the '=credits' bit.
Gotcha, thanks. Usually that allows you to show in the title what's in the spoiler... but eh, I'll just put that above it.

I don't know if this is a relaunch issue or what, but in my sprite thread, 80% of the first post seems to have disappeared. Is that possible to find somewhere in the depths of cyberspace, or do I have to repost everything?
The glow tag isn't working. I tried [glow] [glow=teal] and [glow=teal,2,300]. Also, [shadow] doesn't seem to be working either.
EDIT:
I also noticed that apostrophes show up as \\\' in the TCM.

This isn't much of an issue at all, but out of curiosity, how did I jump from 400 something posts to 1000 somethings? I'm an old person now XD Again, nothing too important, jut checking~

As far as I can tell, it's the fault of the old-forum-to-new-forum migration. All of the posts people had previously made on the non-count boards (Small Talk, Playground, and WiFi) were added to their post counts for this new forum. I've since reverted those boards back to their original settings, but the extra posts that were added can't really be removed.
So, there ya go. You now have a more accurate view of how many times you'd posted on Pokecharms.

Just a note: On the Pokédex, the apostrophe in "King's Rock" isn't escaped, so whenever it's displayed it shows up as just "King". The image for it also appears to be AWOL, probably for similar reasons.

Just so it's not missed, I'll repost this here:
This is happening for me on the Games Database pages too. I'm currently using one of my work PCs which sports IE8 on Windows 7 Professional, 1440x900 resolution. However, this was also happening on my laptop that has Firefox 3.6.

That first issue should have been sorted out, and should be separate from the one on the Games DB. Can you clarify that this is the case?

Derp. Good thing this was caught before the item pages were sorted out themselves. This, and the issues thrown up by silly Pokemon names like Mr. Mime etc will be addressed in the first update.

I'm not sure why PHPBB is offering those options but not parsing them. I'll have to see what's going on there. The second issue has been brought up in the other topic and is being dealt with.

Yup, the sidebar issue with the front page and news page is fixed for me. It's just the GB page acting up now.
