This weekend has seen Hawaii play host once more to the Pokémon Video Game World Championships and after three days of tough battling we now have our champions. In the Masters division US player Ray Rizzo fought hard and took the championship title for the third year running. After making it through the swiss rounds without losing a single match and having played really well in the finals, Ray deserved it. For the Seniors division Toler Webb took the championship title, while Abram Burrows took the title for the Junior division.

If you want to find out how other players who attended the event did you can find the full tournament results here. However, this isn't the only exciting news to come out of Worlds this weekend. The event's time in Hawaii has come to an end, and the 2013 Pokémon Video Game Championships will instead be held in Vancouver, Canada. This marks the first time in the event's history for it to be held outside of the United States.

And thus this year's championships come to a close, but with next year's due to be held in Canada it gives the hopeful Pokémon trainers for next year a lot to look forward to.
