A Mysterious, Blue Aura Surrounds It

Japanese name: Hanada City

Cerulean City is the second city with a gym that the player encounters.

Features

  • The Bike Shop allows players with PokeDollar.png1,000,000 or a Bike Voucher to buy a bike - however, as you can only ever have a maximum of PokeDollar.png999,999 at one time, you'll have to wait until you reach Vermilion City to get a Bike Voucher.
  • In a house in the northwest of the city, a man describes the effects of each badge the player can receive. Behind this house is a Item rare-candy.pngRare Candy.
  • Cerulean Cave can be found in the northwest of the city. After defeating the Elite 4, the player can catch Icon 150.pngMewtwo here.

Events

  • When you head towards Nugget Bridge, your rival will stop you and challenge you to a battle before he allows you to continue.

  • You can't leave Cerulean City without first heading up to Route 24 and visiting Bill, as there is a policeman standing in the way. Once he has moved, the player can go through the house, through the hole in the back and can confront the member of Team Rocket waiting for them.
