Global Terminal

The Global Terminal

Making its return from Generation IV, the Global Terminal now comes in a much smaller package. Instead of having its own building dedicated to it and all of its features, the Global Terminal is now located on the upper level of any Pokemon Centre, and doesn't even take up the whole floor. The nice lady on the far right will handle all of your needs.

To access the Global Terminal the player requires the first badge of the region, which will then enable WiFi features.

Random Matchup

You can battle random individuals on WiFi thanks to this new feature. It works much like the "Battle with Someone" WiFi feature in Pokemon Battle Revolution. These battles do not require an exchange of friend codes, and it's nice to simply be able to battle someone when you feel like it.

You can be ranked for these battles through the Global Link website through a feature called the Global Battle Union, which will tally your scores from all the types of battles you partake in, which are as follows:

Global Trade Station

The GTS, which was first introduced in Diamond and Pearl, is back, and now easily accessible from any Pokemon Centre.

Using this feature the player can search for Pokemon that other people have put up for trade, or they can put up their own Pokemon for trade. This is an easy way to obtain version exclusives from the other game, that is until people start asking for a level 13 Kyurem for that Cottonee you really want.

Pokemon Musical Photos

There is an option to upload and share photos taken during a Pokemon Musical. This option works much like uploading battle videos.

Battle Videos

The option to upload Battle Videos returns. You can choose to record battles you have with your friends or in the Battle Subway and upload them to the Global Terminal. After that you can share it with your friends and show them how awesome you are.
