Japanese name: Fukiyose Cave

Located on Route 6, Mistralton Cave is a bit small, and you need Surf to access it.

Features

The cave itself is largely unremarkable. The player will need Surf to access it, and while Flash isn't necessary it'll be a bit frustrating without it. You also need Strength.

Items that can be found include a Dusk Stone - useful for evolving Lampent into Chandelure. You can also find TM80 Rock Slide. Aside from that there are only two other reasons for why you would want to come here. One reason being that this is the only place where you can capture Axew. The other reason is explained below.

Events

Once you reach the cave's highest level, which is called the Guidance Chamber, the player will run into an old man who begins to talk to the player about the Musketeer Trio, Cobalion, Terrakion, and Virizion, and the legend that surrounds them. He explains that he has searched for many years and finally learned that one of the trio, Cobalion, resides in that cave. I guess he was waiting for a trainer with a pure heart or whatever, and he saw you come in after gods know how many years he's been there and said that you have a pure heart without even saying hello first. He asks you to battle Cobalion in order to show it your pure heart and show that humans aren't evil. Then Ghetsis walks in.

After you defeat the ugly sod, either by capturing it or KOing it, the old man will congratulate you and inform you that the other two - Terrakion and Virizion - will also be waiting for you in their respective locations.
