Japanese name: Kanoko Town

This is the 'Starter Town' in Black and White and is the place from where your adventure into the Pokemon World begins.

Features

Nuvema Town is a small, fairly quiet place. It is where you begin the game, as well as the hometown of Cheren and Bianca, your childhood friends. Professor Juniper's research laboratory is also located here.

Events

You will face one of the hardest choices in the game here: Which Starter? Snivy, Tepig or Oshawott? Afer you chose you will have your first Pokemon battles versus Bianca and Cheren. Bianca chooses the starter with the type-disadvantage to yours while Cheren chooses the one with the advantage.

• After you defeat N and Ghetsis at N's Castle the player will return back to their house. Downstairs the player's mother will be speaking with Looker - a member of the International Police who appeared in Pokemon Platinum. The player will encounter him speaking to their mother while disguised as their mother. (Looker isn't a drag, he's just a queen.) Looker will ask for the player's help in locating the Seven Sages, all of whom escaped the castle. Since the task is too hard for an organization called the International Police, you will agree to do so. Looker will give the player a Super Rod upon their acceptance of the quest.

• Right after this, Professor Juniper's father will present you with the National Dex.

• In addition, whenever you reach a milestone in your Pokedex, Professor Juniper will have various gifts for you, including TM54 False Swipe and TM10 Hidden Power.

Wild Pokemon

There are no Wild Pokemon in Nuvema town. However, you do get to select one of 3 starter Pokemon.
