Japanese Name: Yaguruma Forest

Head west of Nacrene City and you'll find Pinwheel Forest, but before entering the actual forest there's a fairly large area to explore littered with trainers, items, and hidden items. Inside the forest you'll find even more trainers, items, and hidden items, but a lot of nice scenery, too.

Features

Pinwheel Forest is a fairly large area, but you'll only be able to explore the inner portion of the forest after you have obtained Lenora's Gym Badge.

Outer Area

• A woman close to the entrance will give you TM94, which is Rock Smash.
• To the Southeast and up a flight of stairs, you'll find the Challenge Rock. If you interact with it while a Fighting-type Pokemon is in your party, you'll receive a Star Piece. This can only be done once per day, but it's worth checking back on a regular basis. Later on you'll be able to trade them for PP Ups on the weekends in Anville Town.

Inner Area

• The layout of the forest very friendly to players, allowing them to either take a very direct path north or a much prettier scenic route west. Both pathways are filled with trainers to battle, but you won't have much choice which direction you take the first time you enter.
• Like with Eterna Forest in Sinnoh, inside Pinwheel Forest is a moss-covered rock that will allow you to evolve Eevee into Leafeon upon leveling up.
• Also in the inner part of the forest you will find a Big Root, TM22 Solarbeam, and TM86 Grass Knot.
• In a remote area of the forest there is an area called Rumination Field. It is here that the player can capture the Legendary Pokemon Virizion at level 42. Virizion can only be battled after the player has captured Cobalion in Mistralton Cave.

Events

• After winning the Nacrene City gym badge, you'll find yourself chasing Team Plasma through the forest with the aid of Burgh in order to get the stolen dragon skull fossil back. Naturally Burgh decides to take the easy path north while you're told to head west through the brush. Along the way you'll encounter several random Team Plasma members until finally reaching the one who's holding the stolen fossil. Once you've laid the smack down on his sorry soul, he reluctantly gives it back to you.

• One of the Seven Sages appears for the first time and vows to make you pay for interfering with Team Plasma. Throughout the conversation, he cryptically alludes to the organisation's plans involving a certain legendary Pokemon...
• After many words have been exchanged, Burgh and Lenora showing up, and the Sage and Team Plasma member vanishing together, Aloe gives you a Moon Stone for safely returning her fossil.

Trainers

The area outside of the forest is full of young trainers and a nurse as well that will heal your Pokemon whenever you want. The inner forest is full of Pokemon Rangers, all of whom will give you a variety of berries after being defeated.
