Deoxys Wi-Fi Event Announced For May!

Exciting news today as a brand new Wi-Fi event has been confirmed for English copies of Pokémon Black 2 and Pokémon White 2. The latest Wi-Fi event will be running from the 8th of May until the 31st and is giving Pokémon fans the chance to get their hands on a level 100 Deoxys. This is the first time Deoxys has been released for the fifth generation games outside of Japan, so it's certainly an exciting event.

Update: Although the official site originally claimed that the distribution was for Black, White, Black 2, and White 2, it has subsequently updated to clarify that it is for Black 2 and White 2 only.

For those of you in Europe with a Nintendo 3DS it's also worth noting that a demo for the up-coming Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity game has gone live on the eShop for you to download from today. The game itself will be released 17th of May.

A brand new trailer for the 16th Pokémon movie, Pokémon: Extremespeed Genesect: Mewtwo Awakens, has been released through the official Japanese Pokémon Youtube channel this evening. The trailer shows off Mewtwo in its new form and the official Japanese site has given a name for the new form, calling it Awakened Mewtwo, although it isn't clear to if that is an official name or something to avoid confusion for readers. If you wish to know more, then read on!

Announcing An Eeveelution Tournament!

Pokémon news may be quiet right now after the recent announcements, but never fear as that just gives me the perfect chance to bring you some interesting site news.

I'm very pleased to inform you that King of Lucario has today opened sign-ups for the latest Pokécharms tournament. This tournament will see players battling it out in Rotation Battles over Wi-Fi with their fifth generation Pokémon games, however there is also a twist in that the only Pokémon players will be allowed to battle with are Eevee and the Eeveelutions, making for a very interesting tournament I'm sure.

Sign-ups for the tournament are open now, but matches won't take place until August to give you a chance to make a team and such. If you wish to know more info then you can find the sign-up thread right here.
