[1-100] [101-200] [201-300] [301-386]
| 101.Spearow-There really is little to say on this one. He's not the trademark "starter bird", and by the time you catch it you either have a flying type or a full them. Appearance wise it isn't too great either. | |
| 102.Fearow-Pretty neat looking, but it stops there.
Obviously a rival for Pidgeot, and this is shown in the anime when
Ash returns to Pallet. [It's always drawn with a broken neck... but i do think it can look quite good-Pidgeot is better-Gary] |
|
| 103.Natu-This one falls in my average category, because
of it's simple design. It's nothing special, but not bottom of the
pile. [It's tiny! I like that, makes for a great RP cuteness-Gary] |
|
| 104.Xatu-Cool looking, with it's "looking in
to past and future" thing, but as usual I prefer physical attackers,
since they are more interesting to use whilst writing rather than
special users. I have never seen art of it flying though, which
I want to see. [Betchya didn't know Treeko's head fits on Xatu's body perfectly! We didn't 'till i made the monstrosity that is Kiratu-Gary] |
|
| 105.Wingull-Crappy little bird I'm afraid. Seagulls
are the bane of my existence, and I'm afraid a water firing seagull
is even worse. I suppose it does have the quick and small appeal. [Great for the start of R/S but you'll probably dump it once it evolves...-Gary] |
|
| 106.Pelliper-Bloody ugly thing, in the sprite anyway.
What's it going to do, swallow the foe? I quite liked it before
the games, but not anymore. [It's anime appearance made me giggle, I also lost interest with this once the games actually came out-Gary] |
|
| 109.Zubat-The most annoying Pokemon going. It lurks everywhere. It's pretty annoying looking too, no eyes, just a mouth. Blah. Maybe it's because I have seen it so bloody often. | |
| 108.Golbat-Uglier than Zubat, with one HUGE mouth rather than a normal sized one. Bloody annoying too. It also lacks the streamlined look which was Zubats only plus point. Loads of trainers have these, and they can be a bugger to shift sometimes. | |
| 109.Crobat-The third evolution of the bat line looks
pretty nifty compared to the others, and he gets that streamlined
looked back. Much better colour too. [The fact it isn't over exposed attracts me to it, but then it involves getting a Golbat and making it happy... *throws it away*-Gary] |
|
| 110. Gligar. An alternate design for Crobat maybe?
It's technique of grabbing on to people's faces is just cool. And
it's got a scorpion tail, so rock on. [Definitely beats Zubat's line hand, or wings down. And who could forget Gligar Man from the anime?-Gary] |
|
| 111. Tentacool-The sea version of Rattata/Sentret/Zigazoon.
If this thing wasn't so damn common it would be ok. Pretty plain
design however. [DIE TENTAFOOL, DIE!-Gary] |
|
| 112. Tentacruel-See above, better visually though.
I love that cool ripping horn type thing. Shame it's so damn hard
to draw, tentacles and all. [KILL, TENTACREEP, KILL!-Gary] |
|
| 113. Geodude-Quite how this one floats puzzles almost
everyone. A gravity defying rock defeats even the laws of physics
in the Pokemon world. It is pretty uninteresting but useful at the
beginning of the game. [Especially in G/S/C's nasty first gym which sets it's prescedence for it's anti-grass bias-Gary] |
|
| 114. Graveller-Hehe, two extra arms. Rock on, if you excuse the slight pun. I do quite like him, even though his upper arms look a little short to grab anything, may just be the sprite. | |
| 115. Golem-Shown as strong, yet fainted after one
thunderbolt from Pikachu which isn't meant to effect it in the first
movie. Damn rat. Anyway, the friendless among us will never get
Golem on our carts, because of the stupid trade to evolve method.
It's not even logical. Golem's pretty neat, for a rock lizard. [I'm a friendless person... personally i don't like it... looks to fugly, it's power is rather funky though-Gary] |
|
| 116. Onix-yay! I like the 'nix. Especially now he
has Dragonbreath in FR/LG. He could be pretty cool in RP terms,
pretty versatile, even though it is a long block of rocks. It also
is open to some RP disadvantages, like getting little buggers like
Pikachu running up it's back. (I can't imagine who would do that.
Cough, Gary, Cough) [............ yeah, i'd so actually do that....meh-Gary] |
|
| 117. Steelix-Damn ugly, yet cool looking at the same time, Steelix was one of the first steel type Pokemon revealled to the public in the run up to GS. I dislike the face a little, but the silver spikes rock. Shame he now has quite a few weaknesses, to types Onix was previously hardly effected by. | |
| 118. Mawile-I never really got my head around this one. The normal sprite is it's back, and the back sprite is it's front. Presumably because of that scary tail thing it faces the other way. A venus fly trap attached to a strange little body, but still cool. | |
| 119. Skarmory-I like him. Maybe it's to do with him being my first neo holo, and first steel type card. The blade like wings/feathers are pretty nifty, and the fact is a bird which isn't effected as much by electricity gives him extra points. | |
| 120. Magnemite-Very, very average if not below. In GS it gained the steel type, but that didn't help it much really. | |
| 121. Magneton-The same, but three times the blandness. Not really much to say, it's extra type didn't really add any attacks to his arsenal, it just made it weaker to fire. | |
| 122. Voltorb-Again, very average, but the way they were incorporated in the Power Plant was pretty cool. | |
| 123. Electrode-The fastest Pokemon, in RB atleast, and perhaps GS, but still very average. It has a pretty cool attitude though, where as voltorb's eyes looked annoyed Electrode's whole "face" looks pretty pompous and confident. | |
| 124. Castform-And so we enter the world of the "Digimon
Pokemon". So called because they resemble the baby Digimon,
which are merely blobs. Castform uses the RS weather mechanic to
change it's shape and the type of it's attack. Obviously, the design
is pretty lazy. [Soooooooooo wouldn't call 4 sprites for one pokemon being lazy...-Gary] |
|
| 125. Chimecho-Another blob. But this doesn't even
have anything special like Castform does. I don't know too much
about it, because I never wanted to really. [It's an absolute bitch to get too, the rarity of it is stupid-Gary] |
|
| 126. Luvdisc-As Gary tells me the designers have
over 1000 Pokemon laying around somewhere. So why would they choose
this one? I just hope the reason isn't because the others are worse
that this fish thing. It's not even as if we are lacking water types,
so that's no excuse. [It's cack... god knows what Sugimori, Tajiri and various other people were thinking with this... realism because there is one of these in the real world? Really i can see no other reason-Gary] |
|
| 127. Magikarp-Useless in it's current form, but not
to the same degree as Luvdisc, merely because the fact it evolves. [Magikarp may be one of the worst Pokemon to use but it definitely is a fan favourite, as a joke at least. Many n00bs really didn't realise that this thing would evolve into anything more powerful and left it... only to be demolished by their smarter friend's Gyarados :-p-Gary] |
|
| 128. Gyrados-One of the coolest looking Pokemon,
and a good water HM slave. It's a shame it is water/dragon rather
than electric/dragon, RB lacked many dual dragons. Also, it's current
type leaves it seriously weak to electric attacks. [Gyarados learns fly ya know... so i'd really like to see one flying about over Ash's head ready to hyper-beam him in the anime-Gary] |
|
| 129. Feebas-Magikarp was in RS, so why introduce
an advanced version? It basically IS Magikarp, coloured differently. [THIS IS A BITCH TO GET!... 6 single tiles of water in the whole of hoenn in which you can find this Pokemon and it changes not only every game but every time the trendy phrase changes...And all for a new Magikarp-Gary] |
|
| 130. Milotic-Advanced Gyrados obviously. Apparently
it's a bugger to evolve, but looks well worth it. Not cool in the
same way as 'Dos but more elegant. I would love to see it in action
in the anime. [You have to make it's beautiful stat in the contests thing maxed out... which involves a lot of Pokeblocks and a lot of time - not to mention the time wasted on getting Feebas in the first place. It's attacks are mehish but it will demolish people in contests if you work on it-Gary] |
|
| 131. Wooper-Something water fans dreamt of, the first
electric resistant water Pokemon. He's prety cute too, shame it
has no arms. [One of the first G/S Pokemon I ever saw on a Promo Card with Beckett Pokemon Collector Magazine... It looks as weird now as it did then...-Gary] |
|
| 132. Quagsire-This evolution just looks really dumb,
even though it will beat electrics hands down. Pretty slow on land
too, I would guess. [I quite like Quagsire, it's alright looking and one of my favourite Water types because of it being part ground, it had a secure position on my Gold Team-Gary] |
|
| 133. Corsola-Distinctly average, and a bugger to
breed rock slide on to. It took me loads of Totodiles and Lavitars
to find the right gender combination…. [Misty getting this in the anime made me like it a lot more than using it once in the game, pity it's anime coolness doesn't really reflect in the games-Gary] |
|
| 134. Barboach-Urgh. Horrible, seriously. No idea
of it's usefulness, but visually crappy. [Bleargh... -Gary] |
|
| 135. Whiscash-Why does this have a W on it's head?
Unless it's a lightning bolt, which makes less sense, not being
an electric type. An RS Lantern, but uglier. Did R/S really need
to take up pokemon slots with some of these advanced RB/GS monsters? [It was called Pokemon Advance :-p... seriously though it's design is stupid considering it's not an electric type. It looks alright to me but i'd never train one-Gary] |
|
| 136. Omnyte-Ah, the fossils. First one is very plain,
and kind of cute in a way. Not really much else to say. [It's cute! Hehehehe, I always liked Omanyte-Gary] |
|
| 137. Omastar-Pretty cool, but I would imagine it
lacks manoeuvrability. The spiked shell and four way mouth is cool,
and it eats Shellder!!! [That mouth was inspiration for my Pokemon Hybrid Gargoyle 'Mewura', an art project I made 4 years ago. Among the weird Pokemon features were Geodude's eyes, Venonat's nose and Pinser's pincers... the mouth i really liked though-Gary] |
|
| 138. Kabuto-Nothing special from it's normal view,
but from above, yellow sprite I think, it looks quite good, with
those fake eyes. Probably not a very good non game battler however. [Unfairly it is definitely a more publicised fossil, it's been in the anime more, Bill dressed up as it and it got another anime appearence when they did the 150 monatage... What did Omanyte get?-Gary] |
|
| 139. Kabutops-Ancient Scyther! I love him, fast and
he has slashing blade arms. Useful in RP/Fic battles, just like
Scyther. Why can't I think of anything to say for my most loved
beasts? [Omanyte I like but Kabutops I really like, nice dilema when playing a game that only allows you one at a time huh?-Gary] |
|
| 140. Areodactly-Pretty groovy, and some times lethal,
especially with Rock Slide, which is essential really. It's a shame
you have to wait so long for this really, since by the time you
get it your team will already be forming. (In RB/FR/LG you couldn't
get it before Fuschia Gym, and in GS you had to trade a Chansey
for it in Kanto, which is quite late anyway, not taking Chansey's
rarity in to account.) [I'd be glad to give away a Chansey for one of these... if only i could be buggered finding one-Gary] |
|
| 141. Lilleep As with all the RS fossil Pokemon Lilleep has two sets of "eyes". Of course, it only really has one, and those are those yellow blobs in the black spot. (This can be seen clearly from the Sugimori art.) It's a very strange beast, and does not seem like a battler to me, visually. | |
| 142. Cradily-See above for information on the eyes.
Am I the only one who thinks it's head is shaped a little like a
boxing glove? Strange thing, can't imagine it how it would fight
in the anime, so maybe they will show me. [...It's tooth is an eye... *sigh*... Really can't see this thing moving at all so it gives me no interest what-so-ever-Gary] |
|
| 143. Anorith-Although I think it would look much
cooler if the red bits were it's eyes, sadly they are not. Instead
it sees with those "wing mirrors" attached to the side
of it's head. Obviously has a very Kabutoish feel, being it's counterpart
and all. [Hehehe, this is more like it...-Gary] |
|
| 144. Armaldo-Again, looks better with out those sticky
out eyes. It reminds me of Tyranitar, especialy the tail, which
spikes out slightly three ways, like Tyranitar's, in some pictures
anyway. All of the RS fossils are kind of strange, making me prefer
the classics. [....Then they messed it up with this....-Gary] |
|
| 145. Relicanth-An ugly fish really. Kind of the RS
Areodactyl, although it does not need to be revived. I am intrigued
to as why they chose to use it as the Pokemon required to unlock
one of the Regi puzzles. [... We saw this really early on in the final run up to R/S... It's in the anime you know, we saw the screen cap of it. Havn't actually seen it in it yet though.-Gary] |
|
| 146. Wailmer-One of the three RS Pokemon that were
first revealed to us. It is surprisingly big for a living beach
ball. Interestingly it is the Pokemon they used for the surfing
sprite in the advanced games. [AND IT LOOKS BETTER ORANGE! As I found out by recolouring it myself... It had a lot more appeal when we only had it, Kecleon and Volbeat to go on...-Gary] |
|
| 147. Wailord-However, Wailord is bigger. It's a damn
boat! It looks to me like a Team Rocket Submarine based on a big
whale more than a real Pokemon. [Never really liked this thing... but it is rather essential in R/S as you'll need it to Dive with to chase after TA/TM for the final showdown -Gary] |
|
| 148. Aron-I consider this to be the RS Lavitar, because
it bears more visual resemblance to it than any of the other power
trios in RS (Don't know about stats). It's very simplistic, but
cute. [And available very early on in the game, perfect for building some power into your team-Gary] |
|
| 149. Lairon-It so looks like some kind of Rhyhorn relation combined with a lizard of some sort. It's pretty neat looking, and I would imagine it would be cool in anime/rp charging and everything. | |
| 150. Aggron-Tyranitar look alike anyone? I prefer T-tar more, because it doesn't look damn stupid, although Aggron has the cool shaped head with those horns. The rest of it's head, mouth etc, is pretty ugly though. | |
| 151. Larvitar-The original rock lizard. He's pretty plain, and a pain to level up, since you get him so late in the game, but worth it. | |
| 152. Pupitar-The "metapod" stage of this
line if you like, but it's actually useful. Well, it can attack
anyway. It looks a little ugly, and I am unsure to how it moves. [Both Larvitar and Pupitar are Rock/Ground types... annoyingly it's the ground that goes when they evolve - not the Rock type which really give T-Tar no real advantages compared to what it could have had -Gary] |
|
| 153. Tyranitar-I always thought T-tar looked a little
strange, but cool, with its seemingly "2 piece body".
It's a great Pokemon though, however it is a shame it didn't loose
the rock type and became ground/dark instead of rock/dark. Not that
it matters too much, mine still slaughters Ashes Pikachu everytime. [An absolute bitch to get... but very powerful. Pity Barneyite will still trample over it with water attacks-Gary] |
|
| 154. Magby-With GS and the Pokemon breeding revolution
came a new wave of Pokemon which evolved in to our favourites. They
added a new dynamic to the game, and were the main reason gamers
used the breeding center. (They also managed to bugger up the TCG
in a way) Magby is damn cute, and has a quite decent name, but not
as cool as Bubii. [I hate it's head shape... other than that it's fine-Gary] |
|
| 155. Magmar-Pretty damn rare, and non existent in
the Red version, Magmar is also damn cool. I'm not quite sure what
it is meant to be, and hope it isn't a duck as some people say with
reference to it's "beak". I loved it's gym episode, it
ruled in that. [It's a Duck-Billed Platypus Nem. Which is ironic as they are water mammals and this is one of the most fun fire types to use. I only got one with Gold because I had Red but it was funkyness-Gary] |
|
| 156. Elekid-Since Magmar's counterpart is Electabuzz it seems only fair to give it a baby too, and it's a damn cool one. It just has a really cool body shape, and those arms rule. I always hated the way you HAD to breed to get the babies though, because by the time you caught the parents and bred them it was a little late to be using the new arrivals, whilst trying to keep them happy. | |
| 157. Electabuzz-Also very cool looking. I always
liked it's "fur" (assuming it is fur), even though the
black and yellow design is quite cliched to thunder related monsters,
not just in Pokemon. [It's fur according to the Anime in which it looks bad-ass-Gary] |
|
| 158. Smoochum- It seems that baby Pokemon were given
to some of the more obscure and rarer beasts, as well as the popular
ones like Pikachu, Clefairy and Jigglypuff, and you don't get much
more obscure and rare than Jynx, seeing as they were not wild until
GS. The Sugimori art of Smoochum is ugly, but the RS sprite makes
it look almost cute. [Magmar, Electabuzz and Jynx were all grouped together as a Trio of power for some reason, probably to mirror the Legendary Birds but interestingly enough that came about from G/S/C, not R/B/Y/G where actually Scyther was grouped with Magmar and Electabuzz, not Jynx... The trio does hold some significance though and Scyther has been banished to it's own corner alongside it's Steel Evolution-Gary] |
|
| 159. Jynx-Apparently this one caused quite a bit
of controversy. When Pokemon was first around it was claimed that
Jynx was based on a black woman, therefore racism issues were called
in to question. Did you ever notice it's face is purple in RS? That's
why. There was also a scene cut from the anime due to Jynx kissing
Brock, because it was deemed inappropriate. Anyway, Jynx is quite
odd looking, but has a cool ice/psychic type combination. [The whole episode was cut actually... Serebii claims a part of the reason is behind the SARS Epidemic that was in the East at the time -Gary] |
|
| 160. Scyther-yay! I like the Scythe, mainly due to
it's high speed and those blades to which it owes it's name. It
had a cool voice in the anime, and the way the tribe in the Orange
Island episodes was portrayed was just cool. Like Charizard it has
the flying type, but it does little for him. [Charizard's flying type does a lot more for it than Scyther's... Scyther's Jungle TCG Card made me really like this Bug Pokemon, it was a very powerful card... suitable for the only Bug Pokemon worth using past the second gym of any game-Gary] |
|
| 161. Scizor-Cool, bust not quite as cool as Scyther.
Mainly there to promote the new steel type, Scizor needed to be
traded whilst holding a metal coat. Why it would need to be traded
baffles me. Of course it needed a type change from Scyther, so it
dropped flying and became bug/steel. It still has wings however. [Never had one but the anime appearence it made drew me to it... a lot more than it's Fugly R/S sprite anyway-Gary] |
|
| 162. Pinsir-Pokemon Blue's exclusive bug, and quite obviously a rival to Scyther. It looks cool too, but I never got around to using it. Since GS gave both Electabuzz and Magmar a pre-evolution I half expected another form for Pinsir, be it evolution or baby form. | |
| 163. Heracross-Of course, in the run up to GS it
was suspected this was related to Pinsir in some way, but I prefer
it alone. It is quite interesting really, since it is Bug/Fighting.
A well trained Heracross could take a Mewtwo out with Megahorn,
but because of it's fighting type Mewtwo would probably KO it first. [A lot more of a rival to Pinser than Scyther is/was... but it looks too dopey for me to take it seriously... that and it's anime appearances-Gary] |
|
| 164. Sableye-RS gave us some unique type combinations,
and provided what everyone had been dreaming of. The first Pokemon
to be dark/ghost, therefore lacking any real type disadvantage.
However, I would have prefered a better look for that type combo,
but maybe it's just me. This is one of the few RS beasts to carry
a ruby and a sapphire on it some where, and in Sableye's case they
are on it's back. I'm not sure why but when we first saw this everyone
was scared it had a place in the Mudkip evolution line. It may have
been the japanese name, I don't remember. [The Types may have been a good advantage but it's stats and attacks ruined this Pokemon... Pity-Gary] |
|
| 165. Misdreavus-The first pure ghost type, and a
good variation from the only other ghosts in GS, and at that time,
the whole series. As with the Ghastly line it is just gas, even
though it is not a poison type. |
|
| 166. Shuppet-An RS ghost which like it's RB counterparts
lacks any real form. Because of this I am quite indifferent to it,
so can't say much. [I love it's eyes, lol...-Gary] |
|
| 167. Bannete-A little scary, but better than it's previous form. I guess it's quite hard to design really good ghost types, pure ghosts anyway. It's a shame all of them are so similar really, with a few exceptions. | |
| 168. Ghastly-Looks very boring now, when placed with
the new ghosts, but back in the day if you wanted a ghost, you caught
a ghastly, regardless of the fact it looked like a Shellder with
no shell. |
|
| 169. Haunter-When compared to Ghastly, it's pretty
neat, especially those disembodied hands. Yet again, very little
to say apart from the fact it lost some of the advantages the ghost
type should have because of it's poison type. [Haunter i love the look of... It's also a very good Pokemon to train, especially thanks to the Levitate ability-Gary] |
|
| 170. Gengar-Gengar also had that problem. If you
wanted to take it out easily, use a ground type to earthquake it
and take advantage of the poison element. However, as you know RS
introduced abilities. One of these is called levitate and means
ground types can not effect the Pokemon. This was presumably put
in for Pokemon like Flygon who could fly, but were not the flying
type. Gengar was also given this, meaning the ghost killer move
no longer. Add to this the fact normal type moves do nothing, granted
ghosts can't hurt normal types either, and you have a Pokemon who
is completely unaffected by one of the most common attack types
and it's most deadly weakness. [The entire line has Levitate but Gengar's power boost makes it a very, very powerful Pokemon-Gary] |
|
| 171. Duskull-Another one revealed a while before
RS. It's quite a change for the ghosts, but not particularly special.
However that skull helmet over the one eye is pretty nifty. [A fairly early R/S Pokemon too, so us Cryptimon Hunters do have a special place in our hearts for the 'Skull-Gary] |
|
| 172. Dusclops-No one else seems to think he looks Egyptian, but I do. Maybe because in the Dreamcast game, Tech Romancer, the mummy guy piloted a thing that looked like Dusclops. Again, not special, but cool. | |
| 173. Cubone-I actually quite like Cubone, he's a good RP fighter, well Marowak more so but Cubone's cuter. But there's one question. WTF does it look like under the helmet? | |
| 174. Marowak-I like the back story type thing Marowak
has. When they give birth the mother dies, and Cubone wear their
skulls as helmets. Obviously, ties in with the RB Pokemon Tower
story line. Again, good RP/Fic Poke. [They went from near-extinction to breeding perfectly after TR were defeated... shows just how much of a difference you made by beating them in R/B/Y. This pose was perfect... i used it in a flash movie to beat up a Slaking ^_~-Gary] |
|
| 175. Sandshrew-He's cute, but not special. I never really used him, being a red player, but his first anime apperence, in that unoffical gym, was cool. | |
| 176. Sandslash-Same. Never used him, but damn cool looking. His physical form allows for versatility in RP and fics. | |
| 177. Cacnea-Woo. Cute thing this, if not limited
on movement. It looks that way, to me anyway. I think it probably
fits James, in the anime of course. It seems like it's personality
would suit him. [James getting this attracted me to it a lot more...lol. Don't like what it evolves into though-Gary] |
|
| 178. Cacturn-Fugly. I looks like some kind of rag
doll with a tent for a hat. Either that or a scarecrow, which may
be its inspiration. [Bleargh-Gary] |
|
| 179. Oddish-There is little to say really. I mean, sometimes it could be cute, but it's so plain. Not to mention it's limited non game battle potential, having no arms and all. | |
| 180. Gloom- Ok, more detail, but damn ugly. It's
dribbling for christ sake! [YOU SLABBERIN' LEEK!... Sorry, that would be my Northern Irishness coming across-Gary] |
|
| 181. Vileplume-Better looking but still limited out of the games. It's too slow for me, I like the speed. | |
| 182. Bellosom-Strange how this evolves form Gloom,
but only compared to Vileplume. I think it's pretty cute though. [I like it better than the rest of it's line... damn small sprite though. It's meant to be the same size as Gloom-Gary] |
|
| 183. Bellsprout-Uuuuuuuugly! Not to mention it's
horrible "root" legs. It's face isn't good either. [Not even the anime takes this seriously... definitely a joke Pokemon-Gary] |
|
| 184. Weepinbel-Better, if not dopey looking. Another
one of those which look as if they couldn't move. I guess it bounces,
like Victreebel in the anime. Like Pinsir, it was left out when
it's rival gained an evolution, a little unfair. |
|
| 185. Victrebel-I do quite like Victreebel, it's damn
vicious looking! That leaf thing is strange, but I can handle that.
TREEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! |
|
| 186. Roselia-A filler Poke me thinks. It's obvious
what those flowers represent, isn't it? [It's quite a good pokemon, mehish stats and mehish look. I guess it would appeal to Cheerleaders as a trademark Pokemon...-Gary] |
|
| 187. Sunkern-Another one which lacks good movement. It's cute but simple. | |
| 188. Sunflora-A little like Bellsprout in a way,
but more developed. It's quite cool, but not the coolest. [It looks like a big costume to me now, ever since Meowth wore one in the anime...-Gary] |
|
| 189. Eggcecute-A bunch of eggs. Nothing special, but these are badass psychic eggs! Woo! | |
| 190. Eggxegutor-Funny looking, but cool. I like the way it's heads can fall off, leaving another Eggxecutor. | |
| 191. Abra-VERY annoying. You find one, go to catch
it, and it teleports. Little bugger. I'm not to keen of it's sprites,
it's always sitting. I imagine it would be cool if it could attack
properly, standing up fighting rather than backing out. [It's always sleeping though, it's supposed to sleep constantly until it evolves-Gary] |
|
| 192. Kadabra-This one also sparked a problem. Uri
Gellar claimed that this was based on him, because of the spoons,
and sued. Ph00l. His tail is cool, if not a little bulky. Since
it's RB sprite it had that star added to it's head. [Uri Gellar also lost that claim, foool...lol-Gary] |
|
| 193. Alakazam-HALF WAY THERE! I love his newer sprites,
and Sugimori pic. His Anime art makes him seem a little to bulky,
more like Kadabra. He looks really badass, and although he isn't
built for speed and physical attacking, that would suit him completely. [I do keep my Kadabra, mostly because i can't trade to get Alakazam but both are fairly cool in my books-Gary] |
|
| 194. Slowpoke-A very plain, and boring Pokemon, especially in RP due to its lack of speed. Good for comedy value in fics with impatient characters. | |
| 195. Slowbro-He looks just plain funny, so better
than Slowpoke. The way Shellder's evolved is pretty cool too, why
do we not have an evolution of Shellder which looks like that? [That would be too easy...-Gary] |
|
| 196. Slowking-Slowbro is gained when a Shellder latches
on to a Slowpoke's tail, so how is Slowking evolved? Sticking his
damn head in the water? Never mind, I always liked him, probably
due to those cool psychic powers his other forms lack. And that
thing around his neck. [Hehehehe, he's hilarious in P2K-Gary] |
|
| 197. Medite-This one looks plain dumb, but introduces the fighting/psychic type combo. I'm not too educated about it, so can't comment to much. It's pose reminds me of Abra. | |
| 198. Medicham-Also dumb looking, especially those fat thighs. The thing on it's head looks stupid too. As you can see, I'm not too keen. | |
| 199. Mankey-PIG MONKEY! I don't like it's RS sprite
at all, but it's an OK Pokemon overall. I always ended up using
it in Yellow, and FR, because of it's early availability. And who
can forget it's anime episode? [James and his magical boot return!-Gary] |
|
| 200. Primeape-Again, horrible RS sprite. I guess it could be quite versatile in RP terms, but I never get around to using most Pokemon. I remember liking it in the anime, but Ash was stupid enough to give it away to some trainer. Thinking about it, if Team Rocket want Pikachu, why don't they just tell him some sob story to make him give them it. Worked for Squirtle, Charizard, Primape, etc. |
