Nem's great big Pokemon run down thingy

You may remember my RS Pokemon review last year, well this is it, on a larger scale. I am doing it in the Pokecharms Dex order. Why? Because I can. =P I will be including my own comments and anything I think relevent. [And I will be editing and adding the lovely little pictures to the lovely little page, not to mention my own comments =P - Gary]

[1-100] [101-200] [201-300] [301-386]

1. Bulbasaur-For many the first Pokemon they would have used, due to his advantages over the first few gyms all those years ago in RB(G). He isn't my favourite starter due to his evolved forms lack of manoeuvrability, but the anime badass personality rules. Probably has an advantage out of the RB starters, due to being the only duel type. (Ok, 'Zard, but that does little for him.)

2. Ivysaur-I don't know why, but I really dislike Ivysaur, it's so damn URGH. Maybe it's due to it's RB sprite that I can't get out of my mind, but it is definitely my least favourite 'saur.
[ The original Sprite sucks... But i really do like Ivysaur - you have to see it in 3D to appreciate it.-Gary]

3. Venusaur-Ok, so it can hardly move, but come on, he rocks. Venusuar just stands there, blasting solar beams at people. Or at least that is how he is portrayed in my mind. Not the best looking, or coolest, but you have to love the V-saur.
[Personally-not my favourite starter evo... none of the last grass evo's are any good IMO though...-Gary]

4. Charmander-Again, you have to love him, he's just damn cute. And he breathes fire! I don't like Charmander as much as I like his evolved forms, but I can stand him, as long as there's some back up against the first few gyms. However, he is much better in FR, when he learns metal Claw at Lv 13.
[He's the cutest thing ever in Pokemon Stadium...lol-Gary]

5. Charmeleon-BADASS. Maybe I'm anime influenced, but he's cool. He's a red lizard for christs sake, for me, even cooler than Charizard, even though he can't fly. That scene when he evolved rocked, breathing fire in to the air. MELEON!
[LoL, naaaaw... It's a badass but nothing beats being able to fly, spit fire, dig and look daaaaamn cool while doing it-Gary]
6. Charizard-Why is he not fire/dragon? RB lacked dragons, and the flying type did little for him, as I said. Adding fly in Yellow was useful sometimes, rather than needing a bird for transport. He is a good Pokemon to use in fics/RP due to the varying types of battles he can participate in.
[That and it's the best fire type ever :-p-Gary]

7. Squirtle-Aww. Cutest RB starter, with the best middle form out of the three. And for you fact fans, Gary Oak started out with him in the anime. In a way he represented the "medium" level of RB, Bulbasaur being easy, and Charmander hard.
[Fact Fans- This Gary started out with Squirtle first time round too, all those years ago- Gary]

8. Wartortle-Best looking 2nd evolved RB starter. I love this dude, not sure why, maybe it's his expression. I always liked the idea of a Dark Wortortle, which I played about with in a long lost fic.
9. Blastoise-Damn ugly RB sprite, but he has cannons, so its all good. He too has limited movement, so I find writing about him hard.
10. Chikorita-One of Gary's favs, who assures me you can breed ancient power on to it. Why he would want 6 of them though, no one knows. I always thought it's anime representation was rubbish, but it is definitely suited to being a female, I couldn't imagine it being male. Appearance wise it's ok, much better than it's beta version.
[Just imagine trouncing over Flannery with half a dozen Chikorita... you'll see my dream come true... ^_~-Gary]

11. Bayleef-I like this one. Much better than Chiko. I still remember an Arcanine VS Bayleef RP battle Gary and I had, it rocked because the Pokemon has agility and good attacks. It's damn cute too.
[My favourite Pokemon EVER... and with good reason, it's the cutest thing ever- Gary]

12. Meganium-What is it about bulky grass starter final forms? Well, at least this one can move more than Venusaur I guess. I'm not sure why they replaced the leaf on it's head with antenna, a leaf would have looked better, oh well.
[It's alright-ish... but it so doesn't live up to the standard Chikorita and Bayleef set for this line- Gary]
13. Cyndaquil- ^_^! Cyyyyynda! I love him! He was cool in the anime, with his tiredness problem, or something to that effect. I was never quite sure where his mouth was, and used to think it was in-between the black and yellow bit. How wrong was I…My favourite basic fire starter!
[Cyndaquil is Teh Cute! My second favourite fire line... take a wild guess who comes third ^_~-Gary]
14. Quilava-I'm not sure why this one never grew on me too much, now that I think about it it's pretty cool, especially the head flame.
15. Typhlosion-I always used him in GS, but never really took to him. To me he seems a little bulky for anime/fic/RP battles, but it depends on his height really. Cool neckflame.
16. Totodile-Well, we have had turtles, time for crocodiles. I have no idea why I didn't take to most of the GS starters, but this one is definitely my least favourite, especially in the anime. Why was it all of Ash's GS starters had some kind of problem?

17. Croconaw- Meh. A bit better than Totodile, I suppose he could be pretty cool, I just don't like his sprites. I always thought he looked as if he had some kind of loincloth on. XD
[For Stel's sake: YYYYYYYYAAAABBBA DABBBBA DOOOOOOOOOOO!-Gary]

18. Feraligatr-How the hell do you pronounce that name? Fera-Li-Gat-R? Damn NOA. Any way, as usual with me, I don't like the bulky ones, there isn't much you can do with them imaginatively.
[Bud-Weis-Errrrr... -Gary]
19. Treeko-Heh, I remember when these were first shown. It was ages before we knew their names, and when we did Gary was in Sweden. I quickly phoned him with the news. Those were the days. The first picture of Treeko looked so badass, it rocked. I haven't used him yet, but visually I like him.
[You can imagine how freaky these starters were to us when we found them on a poster on Pokemon.com for Advanced Generation - long before R/S or the new anime series... -Gary]
20. Grovyle-See Ivysaur, this is how you be a cool middle evo grass starter. Just look at that sprite, it's a ninja dino! And he has leave blades on his wrists, I mean, come on, what beats that?
[Using and learning Leaf Blade ^_~... I soo want to teach my Bayleef that-Gary]
21. Sceptile- Well, this certainly doesn't. Such a disappointment, another Grass final evo dinosaur. I guess it could just be me, but I would imagine he was quite slow. Maybe I need to be more open minded.
[Kimori-sorous-Rex... I despise this thing, it ruined Kimori/Treecko-Gary]
22. Torchic- ^_^ Cant beat the 'Quil, but you have to love him, even if it is only just for his final form. As you can imagine, in the build up to RS everyone thought he would become a flying type. How wrong we were.
23. Combusken-This one scares me, but I think it is the angle of the sprite. Iveechan drew a version which I loved, I think it is the beak. RS introduced some cool type combos, including this, the first fire/fighting type.
[I don't mind Combusken, but it is only a middle evo, it's evo rocks the socks... This is just OK- Gary]
24. Blaziken-See why you have to love Torchic? Who else remembers when we first saw this, and people thought Achamo, Wakashamo and Bashamo were the new legendary trio? Well, I am glad they weren't. I love him, such a cool poke. Speaking of stuff we thought about this guy, remember Rooferno? Damn I hate those people who said those names were real. He wears "trousers" too! Charizard, Typhlosion, bring it on! This guy would have kicked your ass before you even moved.
[Everyone thought this was the new fire legendary simply because it looks DAMN COOL... This is definitely one of my favourite R/S Pokemon-Gary]
25. Mudkip-Turtle, crocodile, Mudskipper? Ok, not what we would have expected, but it could have been worse. He's still pretty cool, and cute. His size means he could be used in RP/anime/fic battles in much the same way as Pikachu.
26. Marshtomp-Where as GS had no duel type starters, RS went a little overboard. I tend to think he has a bit of an unfair advantage, being water/ground and therefore resistant to electric attacks, but you have to bear in mind he is then double weak to Treecko. Design wise he is pretty plain, kind of Squirtleish in a way.
27. Swampert-I assumed the water starter final would be a big fat frog, and I wasn't too far off, although I think it was the sprite that makes it look fat more than anything. He reminds me of Big from Sonic, and I much preferred the fan made Umigorou.
[The fan made Umigorou was made by Umi del Amare and was a blue unicorn thingy... and it rocks a lot more than this Feraligatr clone-Gary]
28. Caterpie- Theres not much to say on this one, mainly used as an early battler due to its availabilty. I still think he should have a characteristic which shoots poision when it is attacked, like in the anime.
29. Metapod-well, what can I say? Nothing really, can I? I don't see why there are wild ones, it's much easier to evolve one so it can attack. The Shed skin ability could be useful.
[Wild ones make brilliant battle opponents for EXP, mainly because they can't attack back. Trained ones evolved from Caterpie however sneakily know Tackle... something that caused great amusement to me in Ash's battle against Bugsy ^_~-Gary]
30. Butterfree-Just like in the anime many trainers use Butterfree at the beginning and deposit it when some thing better comes along. I know I did. It's a very simple Pokemon, but good enough.
[I also dumped it in the PC after Misty, it's departure in the anime was really tearjerking though, i know i was on the verge of tears-Gary]
31. Weedle-The vicious man's Caterpie as some one used to call it. I prefer the non-poison bug though, it's faster than Weedle.
[XD, i love that expression and personally have never heard it before-Gary]
32. Kakuna-Again, poison Metapod. Just as useless as Metapod, unless it's evolved, when it is almost useable. You only have it for three levels however, so that's a bonus.
33. Beedrill-Hehehe, take this Butterfree. Ah, how I wish a Beedrill would just impale that purple bug on it's drill, but maybe I'm sadistic. 'Drill kind of sucks as a fighter, but looks cool enough. DRIIIIIIIIIIL!
[You cruel sadistic man :-p... I don't like Beedrill myself, i much prefer Butterfree and it's line in general-Gary]

34. Wurmple-With RS's lack of RB Pokes some replacements were called in. So, meet the RS Caterpie. Dispite the name, which comes from "purple", it's red, confusing eh? At least it cannot be affected by freeze, paralysis or burn. It seems a little more bulky than the RB bugs, but at least it's semi-origanal. Also, instead of having two bugs RS has just Wurmple, who evolves differently depending on a number placed on it when you catch it. A 1 gives you one Pokemon and a 0 gives you the other.
[I think Wurmple's cute and so it wins points in my book-Gary]

35. Silcoon-Yes, another cacoon. Like Metapod it has the shed skin ability, which means status effects can only effect it for one turn.
36. Beautifly-Celebii + Butterfree =Beautifly. Seriously, that's what I think they had in mind. Obviously the Advanced Butterfree
[Ugly looking and terrible colour scheme for it's sprite - not that i'm at all superficial-Gary]
37. Cascoon-Why not make Silcoon evolve 2 ways? It would save having to have this, who is EXACTLY like Silcoon, ability and all.
[Except this one looks cooler-Gary]
38. Dustox-Venomoth anyone? It kind of scares me, it has creepy eyes. It's "wing" is also peculiar, it's a continuous semi circle. Beautifly is much better visually, but lacks the poison type Dustox has.
[What planet are you living on? :-p, Dustox beats Beautifly hands down in looks-Gary]
39. Surskit-Very simple design, but I have no idea of it's usefulness though. It's ability is kind of useless, it's speed doubles when it is raining.
[Strategy dude, strategy... It means it's very well placed on a Kyogre based team-Gary]
40. Masqurain-It's gone from Bug/Water to Bug/Flying, and has a better ability. This evolution lowers the opponents attack when it enters battle. He looks a little strange, with no visible eyes, and strange "feet". I'm not quite sure how the wings are attached to it though.
[... With Magic!-Gary]
41. Shroomish-Heh, I am quite fond of this one. It kind of reminds me of Pineco in a way, except he has feet, so is mobile, and much more useful in non game battles.
[And Raichu/Katie has an absolutely insane one... which is hilarious-Gary]
42. Breloom-Hehe, I love my grass/Fighting dude. Apparently he has great footwork, although it does not look as if it would. It seemingly has very small arms, but presumably can punch since it can learn the punching moves. You have to love it's head, and the cool mushroom helmet!
43. Rattata-The original annoying wild Pokemon. Forget Sentret and Zigazoon, this is what made the first generation of Pokemon fans swear each time it appeared. It seemed to be a popular choice as a filler Pokemon, like Butterfree, until gamers obtained something, well to put it bluntly, much better.
[It does look rather cool though, i've always liked it's small and quick appeal. Hyper Fang gives it a nice edge too and makes it worth using every so often-Gary]
44. Raticate-Grah. Another annoyer, especially in trainer battles due to it's hyper fang. It is suprisingly useful though, with the ability to learn electric attacks, as well as others, meaning it can fill a type gap if you need it.
45. Sentret-Much like Rattata, but I have never used it, I just know it stands up in grass on it's tail to see things. I never tended to involve myself with the early game team fillers.
46. Furret-See above, but I like this one a little more. Not really sure why though. Is it just one long tail?Visually bland and unexciting.
[I loved Furret myself... I always thought it was suited best as a scouter Pokemon, hence i put a camera around the neck of one of my rp Furret's ^_^-Gary]
47. Zigazoon-The RS Rattata, who premiered the Pick up characteristic to the Pokemon fanbase. There's not really much to say about this. Very plain compared to some of the more crazy RS pokes.
[This is worse than Rattata in the fact that Hoenn is litterally infested with these Tanuki Pokemon... I now hate it and it's evo, despite quite liking them when i first saw their 'Cryptimon' Pics-Gary]
48. Linoone-If Zigazoon is the RS Rattata you would assume that this would be the RS Raticate, but it seems to be more like an advanced Furret. Same as the other fillers, hardly anything I can say.
49. Pidgey-Squeeeeee! Simple, but everyone has to like Pidgey. Ok, so it's damn annoying in the wild, but everyone who has played RB must have used one at one point, even if it was just transport.
[It's also the cutest small bird in the game-Gary]
50. Pidgeotto-My least favourite Pidge, possibly because it looks distinctively average. It's not the worst of them all though.
51. Pidgeot-I love this birdy however. He flies at Mach 2 for christ sake. And if that wasn't enough, he eats Magikarp! Anything to reduce the amount of those damn fish. It has quite a good evolution level too, not a stupid one like Lv 55 or something, it is with the starters at Lv 36. It looks damn cool, with that wicked head plume.
[KILL THE KARP!-Gary]
52. Hoot Hoot-Meh, the trademark bird for GS. It was essentially there to demonstrate the day/night exclusive mechanic GS introduced. Apparently it only ever stands on one foot, but you never see a Hoot Hoot falling over as it switches legs do you?
[Because they use hypnosis to make you fall asleep just in case :-p-Gary]
53. Noctowl-GS's Pidgeotto/eot. Nothing special really, but could be a good non game fighter, if you could think of a good way to use him. He is pretty cool looking however.
[Noctowl is my favourite Starter Bird Evo... I love it so much i wish i'd used it in rps more-Gary]
54. Tailow-RS Hoot Hoot mixed with Spearow basically I have mixed feelings towards this one. But all in all it's pretty average. Essentially it looks like a normal bird.
55. Swellow-Also average, but pretty cool looking. Especially those tail "spikes". I still favour Pidgeot over him however. For some reason I like high speed flying battering rams.
[Taillow and Swellow are too awkward for me to train, by the time i get one my team is already forming so i simply catch a Taillow and leave it to rot-Gary]
56. Ekans-A Pokemon veteran in a way. This annoyed the hell out of many Red players throughout the game. I'm sure everyone knows the name origin, so I won't bother mentioning it.
57. Arbok-Yesh. I like him, probably because he was in the anime so much. A little limited in battle techniques, but good enough. Got to love the name origin, which again would be a waste of space to mention.
[It looks fantastic and in RP terms it can work great but in the game i can't be bothered with it-Gary]
58. Koffing-On the other hand, I do not like this Team Rocket Pokemon. Not quite sure why. Could be because I dislike poision, and random blobs. Koffing is a mix of the two, so is the devil.
59. Wheezing-See above. However in RP terms he could learn quite a few attack types, because of the chemicals it stores. For example it could launch ice attacks by mixing the gases and stuff. Well, that's what Lee told me. That could have been because he would lose the battle otherwise.
[Anyone else notice the weird fact Ekans/Arbok and Koffing/Wheezing were placed together in the 'Charms dex :-p... we're soo over-influenced by the anime-Gary]
60. Seviper-When I heard the name Habunake I was sure he would be an Arbok evolution. And he should be. He fits the part visually too. I suppose without RB Pokemon in RS he could not be an evolution. He looks amazingly cool though, and his rivalry with the following Pokemon is a good thing to add to the series.
61. Zangoose-Yup, the rival to Seviper, and pretty decent looking. Heh, I always imagine him grabbing the snake and stretching it, before slamming it down on to the ground. Or something. What can I say, I work well with humanoid Pokemon.
[Out of the pair... I prefer Seviper but both are cool-Gary]
62. Poochenya-Rather boring when compared to Houndour, it's predecessor in GS. It also lacks Houndour's fire type. However there are not many Dark type attacks, so he is a little lacking in that respect.
[It's also officially the second Pure Dark type, which did work in it's favour to begin with-Gary]
63. Mightyena-Again, pretty average, but cool with it. It ALMOST looks like he is wearing a cape. To me this is a RS replacement for Houndoom, and RS has enough equivalent Pokemon as it is.
[I like Mightyena's looks, in fact it's a lot more pet-like than Houndoom, despite being pure evil ^_~-Gary]
64. Lotad-Ah. Remember the original theory about this when we saw the back shot? That it's lilly pad unfolded revealing a dinosaur like head? That cracked me up when I saw it's real appearance. I strangely like him, even if it is a little odd.
[The Duckweed! We were soo off with the original theory, we thought it was a venus fly trap thing-Gary]
65. Lombre-Hehe. How cool is this? He looks slow and awkward , but still seriously cool. Loooooooooooombreeeeeee! I mean, he has a lily pad for a hat!!!
66. Ludicolo-I think this one should be called Losperado. Seriously. How cool is this one, even better than Lombre. He's a pineapple/duck man with a lily pad hat, christ, how can you not love him.
[I cringed when i saw this... It still forces me to tears-Gary]
67. Seedot- Hmm, Pineco anyone? Another idea I had for him was a s a Sudowoodo baby, that would have rocked. (Yes, I avoided the "wood have rocked" pun there)He's ok, but nothing special.
[No you didn't, you put the pun in anyway :-p-Gary]
68. Nuzleaf-hehe, I like him, just like I like Lombre. The first grass/dark type I think, although RS had a few of them. He's a call little leaf kid.
69. Shiftry-This one reminds me of Primape in a strange way. He looks kind of weird, especially the nose and leaf fan things. I suppose he is ok, if not average.
70. Pichu-I like Pichu, mainly because of SSB:M, he's so cute yet cool. I love the RS/FRLG sprite. I loved the way he was in SSB:M, hurting himself and everything. Sure, it made it a little difficult, but still pretty cool that they took that in to account to make him a little different.
[And then it evolves into a cheating Pokemon which has only ever had ONE good sprite... EVER.-Gary]
71. Pikachu-The God like rat which escapes the ground type electricity resistance. Ah, the laughs I have had with kids thinking that was true in game. Everyone must have seen Pikachu at least once, even the Pokemon ignorant. Unsurprisingly he is the mascot for the series, and even had his own version of the GB game. RP wise Pikachu is very versatile, if not annoying. Damn double teaming Gary.
[Unlike a lot of other hard-core Pokemon Fans i actually rather do like Pikachu, it's sprites suck though and it's a bugger to train. In RP it rocks.-Gary]
72. Raichu-Yesh. Much better than Pikachu in my opinion, but perhaps a bit bulky in the anime, but it's still cool. You have to love it's tail, and I can think of several attacks it could do with it.
[It could lose a bit of weight, you'll notice that Pikachu did become slimmer to match the newer anime style - Raichu could do with the same treatment-Gary]
73. Plusle-Every series of the games introduces a new electric mouse, and this one is based on Pichu, obviously. Introduced especially for the 2 on 2 battles in RS, since it's characteristic is useless alone.
74. Minun-Same as above really, but this time I will comment on their appearance. VERY Pichuish, as if Pichu is the neutral with Plusle and Minun as the, well, you can guess. Still, I suppose they do a good job of introducing 2 on 2 and have a Pikachuisnh feel about them.
75. Azurill-RB had Pikachu, and electric mouse. GS had Pichu, the baby electric mouse, and Marill, the water mouse. So, as the pattern continuous, RS brings in Azurill, the baby water mouse and half of the RS Pokemon which are related to GS monsters. He is pretty cute, and I love his oversized tail.
76. Marill-Ah. How I remember trying to get this bugger. "Get 16 Lv 100 Pokemon and go to the game corner. Congratulations you got Pikablu!" I can't believe how gullible I was to even consider trying them. His design is okay, but is getting rather bland to me. First of all I liked him, but he is going down in my opinion.
[It's high point was the Orange Islands season of the anime, it's been downhill all the way since then for the blue water mouse-Gary]
77. Azumarril-The last Pokemon I got in GS, because Marill was such a bugger to catch, untill it swarmed. I am quite keen about this one, it's a cool water rabbit with bubble tattoos!
[I think it's fugly... yuck-Gary]
78. Whismur-The original Marill design was a pink mousey thing. Whismur is a pink mousey thing. Coincidence? I think not. Also known as an "Abused Marril" Whismur slightly scares me. It seems to be a combination of Marill and Jigglypuff, with it's sound theme.
[I was one of the first to call it an Abused Marrill! ^_^ I can't stand Whismur, it's nasty looking-Gary]
79. Loudred-Wigglytuff meets Azumarill this isn't. Damn ugly thing. Urgh, can't stand it.
[It's sooo an improvement on Whismur, besides it's all made up for by the next one ^_~-Gary]
80. Exploud-This ones better. The shape of it's head and stuff is pretty cool. I can imagine it being a very phsyical fighter, using those powerful looking arms.
[It's amazing looking in Colosseum, i can see it blasting tiny Pokemon away with just it's mouth-Gary]
81. Igglybuff-Pu-pu-pu-pu-pupurin! Aw, the memorys of the early GS days when these babys were introduced. Igglybuff may have a damn crap name, but it's still pretty cute, and fits Jigglypuff.
82. Jigglypuff--Almost as famous as Pikachu, and well known for it's singing. I think that may be more to do with the anime, since other Pokemon can learn sing too, though I think it is mentioned in the Pokedex.
[The anime gave this Pokemon it's fame... and i love it's song from the Kareokemon thing before they cancelled that bit-Gary]
83. Wigglytuff-This thing used to scare me, especially the RB sprite. Those eyes! The eyes! The anime one, which was in one episode, was hilarious. (I think it was a film episode or something)
[The eyes are worse on the new FR/LG sprite... I much prefer The 'Puff to this-Gary]
84. Cleffa-Hehe, cute. It's another Starshape Pokemon, which supposedly comes from space, or something. I like most of the baby Pokemon, for some reason.
85. Clefairy-If things had not been changed last minute this could have been the face of Pokemon. Yes, that's right, Clefairy was going to be Ash's starter Pokemon. Could you imagine that? No electric attacks blasting Team Rocket away, no cool lightning effects. It wouldn't have been the same. Not to mention it owuldn't have had Pikas' god like advantages.
[Although using Metronome to blast TR away would have made more sense as you could change the attacks... Actually I prefer Pikachu, Clefairy never has and never will interest me-Gary]
86. Clefable-Average bordering on bland. I prefer Clefairy much more, mainly because I have never used a Clefable in RP, a fic or the games.
87. Togepi-SQUEE! I like the little egg thing, even though I missed it's first anime appearance so got the hell confused out of me. Attack wise, useless, but a good diplomat for Happiness evolution, and the only reason for an everstone.
[This was the best thing to happen to the anime, Iloved seeing a brand new Pokemon and Togepi was quite worth it then... Now it's rather pathetic-Gary]

88. Togetic-Now, one question Togetic. Why are you so damn small? Trainers could step on you by accident, not to mention that you couldn't carry any one anywhere. It does look kind of strange too, and I can't help thinking Togepi should have had an alternate Dark type evolution.
[My god this thing is fugly... Thank goodness it went bye-bye after it evolved in the anime-Gary]
89. Snubull-This ones quite cute, a cool RP battle Pokemon. For some reason the small sized ones are always the best. It's Meowth obsession in the anime was just plain funny, and in that respect was almost a Jigglypuff replacement, or the Team Rocket version.
[Never interested me and looks bleargh... I really disliked seing this thing in Pikachu's vacation, it's voice was also the most irritating thing in the world-Gary]
90. Granbull-It's kind of ugly and a horrible colour, especially bad when it is standing up. The black neckthing is pretty cool, but I dislike the fangs, they are way to big.
91. Ledyba-Meh, it's pretty average. Cuter than the other GS bug though. I like to think of it punching with those fists, but then it couldn't really stand up…
[Too fat, make it lose a bit of weight and i'd like it more...-Gary]
92. Ledian-This on the other hand looks pretty cool, and as with Pidgeot and Swellow attracts me with it's high speed streamlined looks. And stuff. Brilliant RP/fic Poke I would imagine.

93. Ralts-Another one which sparked much speculation, such as the rumours that it was Wurmple's counterpart and evolved in to Silcoon, and the drawing of it with a dog like face. I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out, but it's a less physical fighter, which is a little boring in RP.
[The first pictures drawn of it through a bad quality screenshot we got actually gave this little dude green hair- we didn't realise that was meant to be a helmet-Gary]

94. Kirlia-And why are there male versions of this? That's just scary. Very Celebish, and reminds me of some kind of ballet dancer.
95. Gardevoir-Alakazam has the power and the looks, but meet the glamorous psychic Pokemon. Again there is the male problem, but it isn't the only one to suffer from that. I assume it floats, which is pretty nifty.
96. Spinarak-And here we are, 1/4 through the review. (well, close enough). Spinarak's a cute little critter, but still pretty average in my eyes. Strange how only a few Pokemon really appeal to me, a few I despise and the rest are mehish. I tend to base my views on their usefulness in battles out of the games, and that usually means them being pretty mobile AND having good attacks. I suppose Spinerak COULD fit the criteria, but isn't my type of 'mon.
[I think it's cute, i like it's R/S sprite a lot more than it's original sprite-Gary]
97. Aridos-He LOOKS damn cool, with the red and black, but still not my type. The insects never really appealed to me, maybe because I always tended to deposit them for something better. I prefer Ledian over this in honesty.
98. Nincada-It looks like a Spinarak covered in cement, and it's design isn't my cup of tea, but it has some cool evolutions.
99. Ninjask-Just like this one. Black and Gold pwnz J00! Niiiiiiiiiinjaaaaaaaaaaask! A speedy little bugger I bet, charging around slicing with it's claws.
[Actually it's entire entity is about speed, it's Pokedex harps on about it in all versions - It's characteristic also enchances it's speed by 1.5 every turn-Gary]
100. Shedinja-286 to go! This one is pretty much unique in a few ways. It's a bug/ghost (I THINK), and the only one. It's evolution is also special. To recap for those unaware, if there are any, when Nincada gets to Lv 20 it evolves in to Ninjask. Essentially it sheds its skin to evolve. If you have a spare slot in your team that skin becomes a Pokemon and goes in to a Pokeball. That Pokemon is Shedinja. Another special thing about it, it has 1 hp. Thats not a typo. O-N-E. That may sound awful, but Shedinja has the wondergaurd ability, which means only super effective moves do any damage, and there are not that many types super effective against it. So yeah, I like it because of it's originality, the problem is that you need to know who you are facing, and make sure they don't have anything which can mess up your strategy.
[This is the hardcore gamer's Pokemon IMO, you really do need to come up with some good strategy to make it work, i tried it once but it only really comes into it's element in games like Colosseum where you have a wider range of variety for opponents-Gary]
