3DS Conference Round Up
Earlier today, another 3DS conference took place. With it we have some very interesting details to please 3DS owners.
I shall try and go in order of the announcements.
System Update:
Things kicked off with details on the system update that will hit the 3DS on the 4th of November (for Europe). The update gives gamers the ability to record 3D video and has a stop-motion feature. It can record up to ten minutes of footage. It was also said a few days ago that it's likely you will be able to upload the videos to sites such as Youtube (example not mentioned), but that is yet to be confirmed.
The Mii Plaza is also getting a nice little update in the form of new puzzles for Puzzle Swap and a new version of StreetPass Quest named StreetPass Quest2. It will let you have two heroes out at once and will also let you see on the map a persons location when you meet them in the plaza.
Messaging Service:
A messaging service was also announced. Going under the name of "Nintendo Letter Box" it will let gamers draw messages and send pictures and sound recordings to each other. It's something that has had a lot of call from gamers and they will no doubt be happy to see this announced. It should be coming to the 3DS around December time.
Mario Kart 7:
This seemed to be the highlight of the whole event. Mario Kart 7 is heading to the 3DS on the 2nd of December (UK Date), and is so far set to be one of the biggest games released. It will no doubt be top of gamers' Christmas lists this year. But if you thought it looked impressive, wait till you hear these details.
It has been confirmed that, much like the Wii version of the game, it will include it's own channel/app (whichever you want to think of it as), it will download Streetpass data such as ghosts of Mii's to race, and over Spotpass a new Mii will be given out everyday. It was also said that it will support clan type gameplay in multiplayer, allowing players to create their own "Communities" which include unique leader boards, special rule settings, and more.
Super Mario 3D Land:
A new impressive trailer was shown. One of the more interesting parts showed Mario from a side view running across a bridge and having fish jump over the bridge from one side to the other, looking like they'll be coming out at you from the screen. It will no doubt look impressive in 3D.
3D Classics: Kid lcarus:
Only for Japan at the minute but the classic Kid lcarus game will be released as a 3D classic. Hopefully news of a release elsewhere will be announced soon.
New 3DS Designs Shown:
To go with the release of Super Mario 3D Land, three new 3DS designs have been announced. Only 1,000 of each design will be released. They are picture below, and as you can see are based on three famous faces from the Mario series.

Monster Hunter Tri 3G:
Much like Super Mario 3D Land, an impressive trailer was shown for the new Monster Hunter game.
Kingdom Hearts 3D:
Again an impressive trailer was shown.
Everything Else:
Only two other games shown are worth noting, a Samurai type game and a new Rune Factory game. The Rolling Western also got a release, it shall have a release in February.
I shall update this news with links to trailers once they have gone up.
