PokePark 2 and Mewtwo event revealed

Although the original PokePark game for the Wii was surprisingly enjoyable, you'd have been hard pressed to consider the idea of a sequel, let alone one for an otherwise dead platform such as the Wii. Yet, here we are.

It's expected that Junichi Masuda will appear on Pokemon Smash on Sunday to officially reveal the game, but CoroCoro's given the game away as usual and given us the first details on PokePark2: Beyond the World.

Not much is known just yet, other than it's obviously going to follow the same basic mini-game format and will include a number of the new Generation V Pokemon. The game will be out towards the end of this year in Japan.

Also being announced this week is a new WiFi distribution for Black and White.

mewtwoThis event will run from the 26th September to the 31st October for Japanese games only. It's expected that this Mewtwo will have some special attacks or some such, but nothing's been revealed yet outside of the fact its ability will be Pressure, not Unnerve.

The reason for Mewtwo's distribution seems to be that an Anime special will be airing featuring the Pokemon at some point soon. Whether this will be the Mewtwo of the First Movie is unknown, but if so, this would be the first appearence of the character since the Johto-era special Mewtwo Returns.
