News Round-Up 10/8/12

Another day, another round-up of the latest Pokémon news for you all. The last couple of days has seen a number of interesting events take place, such as the Worlds C-Gear skin released, the anime short which was used as a trailer for Pokémon Black 2 and Pokémon White 2 in Japan being dubbed and released, and for those of you with copies of Black 2 or White 2 the Genesect Wi-Fi event has now gone live in Japan. We'll start off with what could be seen as the biggest news this week. Pokémon fans in Japan can finally get their hands on the rare Pokémon Genesect through the latest Wi-Fi event for Pokémon Black 2 and Pokémon White 2. This now means that all 649 have been released through legit means at some stage in Japan. The details of the Genesect are as follows:

  • Moves: Techno Blast, Magnet Bomb, Solarbeam, Signal Beam.

Interestingly, the OT of Genesect reconfirms it was owned by Team Plasma at some stage. The Pokémon is due to play a part in the sixteenth Pokémon movie next year. The Wi-Fi event for the Pokémon runs from today until the 14th of September.

Worlds C-Gear Skin

This weekend sees Hawaii play host to the Pokémon Video Game and Trading Card Games world championships. To celebrate a new C-Gear skin has been released for Pokémon Black and Pokémon White featuring Pikachu holding a Tiki Torch in the shape of its head. The skin has been released worldwide and needs a password to unlock, which is: WCSCGEAR2012 You can download the C-Gear skin until the 6th of September, so download it while you can. If you have Pokémon White 2, or Pokémon Black 2 you can use the C-Gear for those games too.

Anime Short For Black & White 2 Dubbed and Released 

Some of you may remember that leading up to the Japanese release of Pokémon Black 2 and Pokémon White 2 a special anime short was released to act as a trailer for the two games. Interestingly enough, the trailer has since been dubbed and officially released to help build hype for the two games ahead of their US and UK releases in October. You can view the video below:
