In a recent advert going around GameSpot it has been announced that the next Pokémon Wi-Fi event will give fans the chance to get their hands on the rare Pokémon Genesect for their copy of Pokémon Black 2 or Pokémon White 2. The event will run from the 7th of October, when the two new main-series games get released in the US, until the 12th of November. If you wish to know more, read on!
When we first heard about a Genesect event to tie-in with the release of the latest games, it was a rumour coming from staff of video game retailer GAME in the UK who, along with Gamestation, are currently holding in-store events allowing Pokémon fans to get their hands on Keldeo. The rumour likely means that the UK will be getting the event on the 12th of October to tie-in with the release of Pokémon Black 2 and Pokémon White 2 here. If the Genesect matches the one given out in Japan recently then its details should be as follows:
- Name: Genesect
- Nature: Random
- Held Item: None
- Level: 50
- Ability: Download
- Moves: Techno Blast, Signal Beam, Magnet Bomb and Solarbeam
The fact Genesect is being given so soon is actually quite a surprising move. Normally when event-only Pokémon are given they are given away in Pokédex order, however this time that isn't quite the case. After the Keldeo event the next Pokémon we should have received is Meloetta. The musical Pokémon has sadly been overlooked for the time being.
