Welcome back to the brand new Pokecharms.com!

Yes, after a weekend of downtime and weeks of beavering away, the brand new Pokecharms.com is finally here! With it comes a pretty major shakeup for every part of the site. As you'll have noticed by now, the front page is no longer just our latest news - which instead now has a section to itself - but instead brings you the latest information and updates from across the site. The news system also now runs on a completely new back-end (thus, news entries made on the previous system are no longer accessible) and, best of all, will now allow you to discuss the latest posts much easier, because they'll all be posted into our new News forum automatically. 

The forums have also undergone a drastic change, not only in look and feel, but in back-end software too. For the most part, you can use them the same as you ever have, but there are a few little tweaks and extras to discover along the way too. Please note, though, that if you had an avatar uploaded to the server - rather than externally hosted - that you will need to replace this, as these are no longer available. 

Meanwhile, the Games Wiki has begun its metamorphosis into something completely new: The Pokecharms Games Database. Work on this is still on-going, so please excuse any rough edges for now - but we're working hard to make this a much simpler and more accessible game information section for the website, eschewing the complicated navigation of the Wiki for a simple front page and the usual inter-page links.

The Games Wiki also links up directly to the new Pokedex - kitted out with all 649 Pokemon and as much information as we could bring you in time for the relaunch. You can keep track of the latest developments on the Pokedex with its new Changelog, which will begin filling up very soon, as regular updates are planned to increase the functionality and data provided. 

And of course, last but not least, there is the long awaited return of the Trainer Card Maker. Under its new Trainer Card Maker 3 guise the system has been completely retooled and revamped, featuring a host of new trainers, backgrounds and - of course - all 649 Pokemon. Like the Pokedex, there's also a lot more in the works for the TCM, and you'll be seeing regular updates to it staring very soon - beginning with even more new trainers and backgrounds. 

We also have two new areas on the site: The Pokecharms WiFi Club (WFC) and the Partners/Events pages. We're in the process of porting over all the content from the old Wiki for the WFC area, so bear with us in that regard - but very soon it will be a hub for all Pokecharms WiFi battling and activity, not to mention featuring details of our new Pokemon Online server. The Partners/Events page is, first and foremost, a shoutout to the other Pokemon websites we work closely with and mutually support. Secondly, of course, it will be the go-to spot for information on all the latest Pokecharms and UK Pokemon events. We've worked with Pokemon World and HMV Gamerbase for a few years now in organising 4th Generation tournaments throughout the UK, and you'll be seeing a lot more of that featured in this area.

Finally, the last button on the menu above is the 'Chat' button. Long requested by staff and members alike, clicking through to here will give you access to our main chatroom and our WFC chatroom. The rules for the Chat are usually pretty freeform, but they basically center around not annoying the other members - so if you can adhere to that, feel free to join us at any time. 

In short, we've got a whole lot of new stuff on offer for you - not to mention the whole new look of the site - but there are also a few things we're still working on and you'll be seeing frequent updates to the site over the coming weeks and months as that work continues. As ever, there may be a few issues thrown up by setting up the new site on the server, so if you come across any strange issues or errors, please let us know in the Feedback forum. Other than that, I hope you enjoy what we've put together here and join us in looking forward to the future of this new, rejuvinated, Pokecharms.com.
