Some of us have had our fill of Pokémon X and Pokémon Y news thanks to the CoroCoro leaks over the weekend and the promise of more news thanks to Pokémon Smash, but regardless news just keeps coming and today we have a brand new English trailer for Pokémon X and Pokémon Y along with English names for the four recently revealed Pokémon. It was confirmed this morning that the episode of Japanese TV show Pokémon Smash which is due to air on the 19th of May will be a Pokémon X and Pokémon Y special and will have Junichi Masuda as a guest, who is set to bring us some new details to do with the two games. However, it's worth keeping in mind that the last edition of Pokémon Smash which featured Junichi Masuda, and promised to bring us news, only revealed the new form for Mewtwo, so don't get your hopes up too high.

It's also worth noting that Japanese magazine CoroCoro will be released in Japan on Wednesday and should leak any day now. It will likely bring us all of the Pokémon X and Pokémon Y news ahead of Pokémon Smash airing. Either way the next week should be quite interesting for Pokémon fans!

Pokémon Global Link Spring Friendly Tournament Announced!

The latest Wi-Fi tournament hosted by the Pokémon Global Link has been announced tonight. This tournament is going by the name of the 2013 Spring Friendly and brings in an interesting ruleset which differs quite a lot from the VGC13 focused Wi-Fi tournaments we've seen recently. In this tournament players will be taking part in Single Battles and can use any Pokémon from the Unova regional Pokédex in Pokémon Black 2 and Pokémon White 2, all Pokémon will be lowered to level 30 for the battles. It's also worth noting that all players who sign-up for the tournament and show up in the rankings will earn themselves a Black Kyurem and White Kyurem C-Gear skin for their games.

Sign-ups for the tournament open on the 9th of May until the 16th, with the tournament then being held on the 17th of May until the 20th. Best of luck to all those who take part and may the best trainer win!
