Niantic Announces Let’s GO Event with Return of Shiny Meltan and Global Availability of Pansage, Pansear, and Panpour
Niantic has announced the upcoming Let’s GO event in Pokémon GO, marking the return of Shiny Meltan and the full global availability of Pansage, Pansear, and Panpour. These elemental monkeys initially made their debut in last summer’s Pokémon GO Fest events, and trainers worldwide will now have the opportunity to catch them during the Let’s GO event.
The event is set to take place from March 21 to March 29, 2023. During this time, players will have an increased chance of encountering Shiny Meltan when using a Mystery Box, which can be obtained by transferring Pokémon to Pokémon HOME or the Nintendo Switch games Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu & Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee. Throughout the event, Mystery Boxes can be opened more frequently.
In addition to the global appearance of Pansage, Pansear, and Panpour, Ditto will also be transforming into different Pokémon in the wild, with an increased chance of finding a Shiny Ditto. Event bonuses include reduced waiting time for Mystery Box openings, double Candy for transferring Pokémon, increased chances of finding XXS and XXL Meltan, and a higher chance of encountering Ditto disguised as other Pokémon.

Trainers can participate in an event-themed Collection Challenge to receive a Meltan encounter and 5,000 XP. Seasonal Special Research: An Everyday Hero will be available throughout Season 10: Rising Heroes until June 1, 2023.
Ditto Changes
The list of Pokémon that might secretly be a Ditto out in the wild is changing. Here’s the full list of Pokémon to keep an eye out for if you’re actually looking for the pink puddle of goop:
Team GO Rocket takeover
A Team GO Rocket takeover will take place from March 25 to March 29, 2023, with increased Team GO Rocket activity at PokéStops and in balloons. Trainers can help save Shadow Regice from Giovanni by completing a new Special Research story.
Shadow Pokémon will also be used by Team GO Rocket Grunts and their leaders, with the possibility of finding Shiny Shadow Pokémon. The event will introduce new Shadow Pokémon, including Alolan Grimer, Phanpy, Treecko, Torchic, and Drifloon. 12 km Eggs obtained by defeating Team GO Rocket leaders will hatch various Pokémon, with a chance of hatching Shiny Pokémon.
