Niantic Reveals Swinub Community Day Classic for April 29th
Niantic has announced the return of Swinub in a starring role for this month’s Community Day Classic on Saturday, April 29th from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, bringing with it the chance to net rewards and bonuses, as well as the opportunity to evolve Piloswine into Mamoswine and learn the charged attack Ancient Power.
During the event, Swinub will be appearing more frequently in the wild, giving players the chance to complete Field Research tasks to earn rewards such as a Sinnoh Stone, Stardust, Ultra Balls, and more. Additionally, players can purchase a ticket for US$1.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in their local currency) to access the Community Day Special Research story, Swinub Community Day Classic.
Event bonuses will also be active during the event, including 3x Stardust for catching Pokémon, Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours, and Incense activated during the event will last for three hours. Plus, players can take a few snapshots during the event for a surprise photobomb.
Timed Research will also be available to complete, allowing players to earn up to four Sinnoh Stones.
This is the first time Swinub has featured in a Community Day since April 2019, although a ‘Swinub Incense Day’ event did take place as part of 2021’s Season of Heritage.
It isn’t the only Pokémon Go event taking place this month, either, with a Bounsweet-starring Sustainability Week event kicking off next Thursday.
