Pokémon Home maintenance heralds big v2.0.0 update tomorrow
Only announced a few days ago, the Pokémon Home update that adds compatibility for Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl and Pokémon Legends Arceus will start rolling out tomorrow morning on the 18th May.
Scheduled maintenance of the service is planned for between Midnight UTC tonight until 6am UTC tomorrow morning. Afterwards, both the mobile and Nintendo Switch versions of the app will require updating to version 2.0.0.
In case you missed the news last week, this new version of Pokémon Home allows you to transfer compatible Pokémon to and from the most recent main series games, Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl and Pokémon Legends Arceus. This means that Hisuian Pokémon can be added to your Pokémon Home boxes and National Pokédex for the first time, as well as allowing trading of certain Pokémon between both of the newest games and Pokémon Sword and Shield.
There has been no indication that any of the games will be updated to support additional Pokémon beyond those already available in the respective games, however.
Special Bonus gifts for Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl and Legends Arceus are also available in the app as reward for transferring Pokémon from those games.
Game | Pokémon | Notes |
---|---|---|
Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl | Will have their Hidden Abilities (Shell Armor, Iron Fist & Defiant) | |
Legends Arceus | Will have maximum Effort Levels |
