With Halloween and Pokémon Scarlet & Violet just around the corner, The Pokémon Company has teased a spooky ghost-type Pokémon reveal tomorrow at 2pm with a short in-universe video filmed on an un-named character’s Rotom Phone within the Paldea Region.

While the video itself shows nothing more than a Gengar scaring the bejesus out of the person recording, a premiere for another video to go live at 2pm BST tomorrow – currently titled simply “????” – will likely feature more details, and potentially a new Pokémon or two.

This week’s video is also eerily reminiscent of how Hisuian Zorua and Hisuian Zoroark were revealed for Pokémon Legends Arceus last year, with a found-footage video teasing their introduction ahead of an actual reveal. Whether this tease featuring Gengar will mean any specific Paldean Gengar relation – perhaps similar to Wiglett’s relation to Diglett – is being teased will remain to be seen, however.
